As a Lab Technician in Rochester, NY, you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations that ensure product quality, safety, and innovation. You will contribute to the success of our business by delivering accurate analytical results, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of laboratory excellence. Essential Job Functions:
Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results in compliance with internal and regulatory standards
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring calibration and proper functioning
Support quality control processes by identifying deviations and collaborating on root cause investigations
Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures, fostering a culture of safe laboratory practices
Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare reagents, standards, and samples in accordance with established methods
Contribute to maintaining laboratory organization, cleanliness, and compliance with audit requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field
Previous laboratory experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or quality control environment is preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and reliable data
Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Basic computer skills and experience with laboratory data systems or documentation tools
Benefits & Conditions:
The expected salary range for this role is $42 400-$53 000, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
