Job Description
Summary:
The IT Junior Officer typically supports the IT department by assisting with various tasks such as troubleshooting technical Issues, providing help desk support, maintaining hardware and software, setting up equipment, and assisting with basic IT projects. They may also be Involved in user training, documentation, and routine system maintenance tasks under the supervision of Senior IT staff members.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist with the maintenance and administration of IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures by monitoring user access, permissions, and activity logs.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving IT processes, tools, and services to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; relevant certifications or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Five (5) BGCSE at grade C or above
- Computer Literate
- Entry-level experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical assistance role preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
