Job Description
Summary:
The Warehouse Officer is essential to inventory accuracy, warehouse process optimisation, and operations of the Authority.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure accurate inventory records and appropriate warehouse storage and handling.
- Coordinate inbound cargo reception, evaluate quality and quantity, and verify against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Ensure safe and effective storage of items in specified warehouses, optimising space utilisation and accessibility.
- Efficiently process outbound orders, selecting, packaging, and preparing items for transportation to internal or external consumers.
- Conduct frequent stock and cycle counts to check inventory levels, discover inconsistencies, and reconcile with records.
- Assist with maintaining a safe working environment for warehouse personnel by following health and safety requirements and best practices.
- Keep detailed records of inventory transactions, including revenues, shipments, and adjustments, and generate necessary reports.
- Assist with Identifying and executing solutions for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency benefits in warehouse operations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse management or logistics
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer Literate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
