Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and construction services for the oil & gas sector. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC Inspector to join our team and ensure that all inspection activities meet the highest quality standards, client specifications, and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform inspection activities in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
· Conduct visual and dimensional inspections for materials, fabrication, and installation works.
· Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with quality requirements, procedures, and client specifications.
· Coordinate with production and project teams to ensure timely inspections and avoid delays.
· Prepare and maintain inspection reports, records, and documentation for traceability and audit purposes.
· Witness and verify testing activities as required, including NDT coordination where applicable.
· Identify non-conformities and ensure proper documentation, reporting, and follow-up for corrective actions.
· Liaise with client representatives and third-party inspectors for inspections and approvals.
· Ensure all measuring and testing equipment are properly calibrated and in good condition.
· Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
· Maintain high standards of safety and quality at all times.
· Perform any additional duties assigned by the QA/QC Engineer or Quality Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QC inspection within oil & gas / fabrication / EPC projects.
· Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO.
· Certification in inspection or NDT (CSWIP/BGAS or equivalent) is an advantage.
· Good knowledge of welding, fabrication, and inspection processes.
· Fluency in English (mandatory); Arabic is an advantage.
· Proficient in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
