Role Purpose
This field-force role specifically involves defining and managing, within the assigned territory, the overall corporate strategy for each client by leveraging various positioning tools available, such as managing commercial negotiations, implementing marketing campaigns, delivering training for pharmacists and other professionals operating in this context, as well as designing and promoting initiatives aimed at spreading the value of greater penetration of generic medicines in Italy, for the benefit of the entire healthcare system.
PAS is also responsible for the structured collection of information on current and future market dynamics and competitors’ strategies within the assigned territory. This is achieved by collaborating with the line manager and other corporate functions to generate ideas, initiatives, impact analyses, and proposals aimed at continuous improvement and greater effectiveness in managing the territory.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Act as a territory manager within the assigned geographical areas, identifying target customers (and/or groups and/or chains) and prioritizing them based on the market segmentation shared by the company;
- Define and achieve sales, efficiency, and performance objectives for each pharmacy, respecting agreed timelines and plans;
- Independently choose, within the assigned budget, the most appropriate type of initiatives to support client needs;
- Define and directly manage the best negotiation strategies within shared plans to maximize economic and financial objectives for each client;
- Design and implement the client management strategy, planning the best mix of marketing campaigns, commercial presentations, training modules, and any other elements supporting the achievement of agreed objectives, leveraging deep knowledge and sensitivity to the local market;
- Ensure customer satisfaction through strong relationship-building skills;
- Pursue agreed contact, coverage, and frequency objectives, defining optimization strategies autonomously, including individual choices regarding communication channels provided by the company;
- Ensure timely delivery of data, reports, and analyses ahead of area meetings, respecting deadlines to enable continuous adaptation and alignment across territories;
- Support digital initiatives and collect related consents;
- Stand out as an ambassador of Sandoz ethics and values in the territory, managing client interactions in full compliance with company policies and procedures.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience within Sales Rep/ Other roles in the generics industry
- Robust knowledge of the company portfolio
- Customer relationship/stakeholder management
- Analytical skills and selling mindset
- Results-orientation and determination to meet and exceed company expectations
- Business acumen and competition arena awareness and understanding
- Proven listening and communication skills
- Problem solving within very clear compliance and regulatory boundaries, as well as in full respect of company SOPs
- Italian and English fluency

Compensation Structure & Criteria:
Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
