EFFECTIVENESS AREAS – effectiveness areas are critical aspects of how you approach your job on a daily basis and will be used to evaluate your job performance:

·        Supervision – as a supervisor you are responsible for the safety, effectiveness and job satisfaction of those you lead. This requires the creation of a team atmosphere where each team member feels valued, heard and empowered. The team should be unified in the completion of team goals – the team includes yourself, those you lead and those that you report to. Servant leadership is considered an effective way to supervise others.

·        Responsibility – as a leader you will be responsible for outcomes. Outcomes include the ethical operation, profitability, efficiency and good will of Hiki Ola, KMR and dōTERRA. The outcomes that you will advance will be defined with your participation, be specific and clear, and will be used as part of your work evaluation. Outcomes should not be achieved at the expense of dōTERRA’s Purpose, Mission or Values as included in dōTERRA’s Employee Handbook (“dōTERRA’s Guiding Principles”), but can and should be achieved through the implementation of dōTERRA’s Guiding Principles. You will embrace accountability, accept correction, seek opportunities for improvement and avoid assigning blame.

·        Growth – as a role model and mentor to others at KMR and dōTERRA International, you will seek to increase personal knowledge regarding your work (including accepting new and additional work opportunities), develop and follow a Career Development Plan, grow Hiki Ola’s and KMR’s business and influence in the community and help other team members flourish. A lack of interest in personal, work-related growth may result in reassignment to a non-leadership position.

·        Alignment – as an employee of Hiki Ola and dōTERRA and a steward of their assets, including their reputation for good, you are committed without reservation to dōTERRA’s Guiding Principles. You study them regularly and look for opportunities to improve how you live these principles in your work, personal life and engagement in the community. You will help your team members to be aligned with dōTERRA’s Guiding Principles. Self-dealing, compromising dōTERRA business opportunities for personal gain or negatively impacting dōTERRA’s reputation will be cause for separation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·        College bachelor’s degree, or equivalent (i.e., extensive experience with Polynesian culture), in a natural resources discipline, Hawaiian culture, business management, engineering, or applied sciences

·        5 years of public-benefit organization work experience in an operational environment

·        5 or more years management or supervisory experience

·        Willingness to obtain additional certifications collectively identified with your leaders

·        Excellent listening, verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills

·        Proficient in computer programs such as but not limited to MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·        Leadership abilities for Hiki Ola and Kōnea Ola staff and volunteers, KMR employees and contractors.

·        Self-motivated and strong independent work ethic, timely and dependable.

·        Respectful of the host culture
