Business Support Officer - Corrections Intelligence Group, Corrective Services NSW

 

  • Clerk Grade 5/6, salary $99,938 - $110,271 pa plus superannuation and leave loading
  • Ongoing Full-Time, office based role available
  • Location: Corrections Intelligence Group, Silverwater

The Corrections Intelligence Group (CIG) provides high level intelligence support to Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) stakeholders and various law enforcement agencies. Intelligence products disseminated by the CIG assist with decision making processes around the management of offenders in custody and under community corrections supervision. 

 

Your role

 

The Business Support role is key in providing high-quality, responsive, and effective high level administrative support to the General Manager, Corrections Intelligence Group. The role demands the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest confidentiality.

You will Undertake a range of administrative and business services, including diary management and meeting support, preparation of routine correspondence and submissions, human resource process support, in compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

 

Duties may also include:

  • Answering daily inquiries in a professional and responsive manner
  • Responding to confidential matters with initiative, discretion and sensitivity
  • Manage correspondence, CIG records, systems and databases, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
  • Maintain effective administrative systems and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative processes and practices
  • You will be required to Obtain National Security Clearance within 6 months of employment

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Individuals who can manage strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objective and outcomes
  • Experience in high level administration and/or coordination roles with ideally a minimum of at least 2 years’ experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and independently
  • Capacity to set priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives through the efficient use of time
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and high-volume work environment of competing stakeholder demands and changing work priorities
