Position Overview:

As a Banquet Cook at Edgewood Tahoe Resort you will be a key member of our culinary team. Your responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of high-quality ingredients, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. This is perfect for individuals passionate about fine dining and eager to grow within a luxury hospitality environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare basic components of dishes, such as sauces, dressings, and garnishes, under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
  • Monitor ingredient levels, assist in inventory checks, and ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Follow precise culinary instructions to prepare mise en place for daily service.
  • Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and seamless meal preparation.
  • Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality, notifying supervisors of any inconsistencies.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Follow resort and kitchen policies, including safety protocols and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food handling in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-end resort kitchen is preferred.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, knife skills, and food safety practices.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
