Job Description
General Summary:
The Supply Chain manager role provides consistent direction and guidance to the procurement, materials management, production scheduling and logistics teams to optimize the cost and delivery of materials and services to the manufacturing site. The supply chain manager ensures that supply is available to meet client demand and on-time delivery commitments. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager is tasked with continuously reviewing supply chain functions and identifying areas of improvement to have efficiency in the production process.
A supply chain manager must be knowledgeable in process management and development to understand how the overall company works. They coordinate, organize, and manage all logistics in the production and distribution process of site goods.
The SC manager also manages people on the teams involved in the material flow process as well as the clients who receive the product, as well as manage client customer service functions. Supply chain manager must be highly proficient in networking and understanding the needs of the client.

Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and effectively execute all processes and strategies related to the procurement of inventory and non-inventory items and parts and services, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and cost-effective pricing to meet client commitments.
- Direct all activities related to effectively and efficiently managing inventory turns, purchase price variance and the SIOP process to meet customer demand while achieving working capital targets.
- Responsible for achieving year-over-year savings and attainment of established metrics. Actively manage and monitor supply chain performance, spend data, and other internal metrics to identify improvement opportunities to create sustainable outcomes and solutions across the business.
- Manage supplier and customer relationships, performance metric and assist with sourcing requirements and qualifications.
- Drive the implementation of integrated Supply Chain solutions from customer order to delivery.
- Continuously generate and execute improvement opportunities of the supply chain process to enhance quality, reliability and cost savings.
- Identifies gaps in processes related to supply chain; Conducts root cause analysis and identifies strategies to fill the gaps.
- Implement identified processes to closure. Acts as the client facing liaison for the site, managing the order to delivery process.
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement team, production scheduling and materials management team, and logistics team.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum 10 years of years of demonstrated experience in the Manufacturing Industry in addition to 7 years of progressive people management / supervisory experience in Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of cGMP's and regulated environments required.
- Supply Chain management planning and procurement experience desired.
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred OR at least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment comparable to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in all aspects of materials management systems, procurement and supplier development.
- High degree of professionalism to include strong diplomacy, tact and the ability to ensure the security of highly confidential information.
- A leader with the ability to inspire and develop people and motivate a high performing team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate and engage at all levels of the organization.
- Effective change leader; balances consistency with flexibility and willingness to change ideas in the face of new information. Empowers others to achieve desired results and holds them accountable.
- Proven problem-solving identification and resolution capability.
- SAP Experience desired.

Compensation Range:
$108,000 - $150,000
