Job Description

NSF NOIRLab is seeking a Science Intern to support research on cold brown dwarfs using data from the James Webb Space Telescope. The intern will assist with reducing, analyzing, and interpreting infrared imaging and spectroscopy data using Python-based tools and astronomical software. Responsibilities include processing datasets, analyzing spectral and photometric properties, and helping prepare scientific figures and presentations. Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a degree in astronomy, physics, computer science, data science, or a related field and have basic Python coding and data analysis experience.
