Team Impact
The Echo/Ultrasound technologist will work directly with radiologists and cardiologist to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures that require judgment and ingenuity while responding to any of the patient’s special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs.

Responsibilities
Performs quality ultrasound exams with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols.
Provides for appropriate patient care, safety, education, and a favorable customer service experience during procedures.
Maintains appropriate documentation of patient records especially in the Radiology Information System and PACS (computer systems) to meet operating standards, corporate compliance practices, and/or regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Presents appropriate filming and technical findings of ultrasound scans to the radiologist/cardiologist.
Collaborates and participates in department related projects and/or teams focused on improvement opportunities as needed.
Performs other related operational duties as needed including, but not limited to, transporting patients, office/clerical functions, equipment troubleshooting, maintaining supplies in rooms, and cleaning ultrasound equipment.
Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound Program
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- RDCS Credential with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or RCS Credential with Cardiovascular Credentialing International. OR
- Registry eligible with the above organization and certification within 1 year of hire (new graduates)
- CPR certification
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people.
- Ability to promote and work in a team setting.
- Possess strong skills:
- Transthoracic, Stress, and Transesophageal experience
- Ultrasound/Echo machine experience, GE and Philips
- 2D, MMode, Color Doppler, PW/CW, 3D proficient
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Computer/phone skills
Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $37.07 to $55.61 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
