Job Description

Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.

The role and team:

You will be a foundational technical leader for our growing team in Krakow, driving the architectural direction and delivery of core software modules for our next-generation devices. As a Lead Firmware Engineer, you will own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of complex firmware subsystems, defining standards for performance, security, and scalability. You will act as the primary bridge between cross-functional architecture teams and implementation, steering technical strategy, unblocking engineering teams, and cultivating a high-performing engineering culture through active mentorship.

Your Contribution:
Be Yourself. Be Open. Stay Hungry and Humble. Collaborate. Challenge. Decide and just Do. Share our passion for Equality and the Environment. These are the behaviors and values you’ll need for success at Logitech. In this role you will:

  • Architect and Drive: Take ultimate technical accountability for complex features and platforms from concept to production. Lead technical discussions, define modular software patterns, and ensure local implementation aligns perfectly with global platform visions.

  • Technical Strategy and Quality: Define code quality, performance metrics, and security benchmarks. Drive the strategy for robust test automation frameworks (including CI/CD pipelines) and lead the resolution of high-impact, system-level issues.

  • Leadership and Mentoring: Guide and upscale the Krakow firmware team. Act as a trusted advisor to technical leads, conduct critical design and code reviews, and champion knowledge-sharing initiatives across global sites.

  • Innovate and Scale: Anticipate future technology trends and prototype next-gen capabilities. Continuously optimize developer workflows, toolchains, and engineering processes to boost overall squad velocity.

Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a technical lead or architectural decision-making role.

  • Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ for highly constrained embedded environments.

  • Deep architectural understanding of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and bare-metal hardware/software co-design.

  • Extensive production experience with Zephyr RTOS, including custom board support packages (BSPs), device tree configuration, and the Twister test framework.

  • Strong hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V architectures, including low-power optimization and hardware debugging tools.

  • Proven track record of leading technical delivery within an Agile/Scrum framework.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluent spoken and written English.

  • Willingness to work on-site in the Krakow office at least 3 days a week to foster collaboration and team leadership.

Compensation
This position offers a base salary typically between zł 246,800 and zł 376,400 per year. Actual compensation will depend on factors including location, experience, skills, and business needs. Additional benefits are provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable country policies.
