Job Summary

The DOT Cement Service Supervisor oversees cement field operations personnel on location, ensures all cement equipment is operational, troubleshoots equipment failures, and inputs invoices into system.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cement equipment service operations on location
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and operational
  • Perform quality control checks throughout job to ensure customer job requirements are met
  • Ensure all required materials and equipment are prepared for each job
  • Maintain regular communication and a working relationship with customer representative and company man
  • Perform down hole and cement volume calculations
  • Rig up and rig down equipment
  • Assist crew and operate equipment when necessary
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues or failures and provide solutions
  • Input invoices into the system, ensure correct discounts are applied, and confirm charges for chemicals or additives are correct
  • Complete and submit required Railroad Commission paperwork
  • Spot and direct convoy and moving equipment safely
  • Ensure trucks and equipment are fueled
  • Oversee and assist in housekeeping on location before, during, and after the job
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure proper fluid levels, functioning brakes, working lights, and safe tire condition
  • Document and report any defective equipment
  • Conducts a proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to work start
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Operations Manager

Job Qualifications

  • Class A CDL Required
  • Maintain a valid CDL and clean driving record required
  • Hazmat endorsements preferred
  • Able to drive commercial trucks and other vehicles with a manual transmission
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations required
  • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and physical examination required
  • Able to pass a road test required
  • Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions required
  • Able to perform pre- and post-trip CMV inspection required
  • Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
  • Able to operate and perform maintenance on vehicles or relevant equipment required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to give and follow directions in English
  • Personable, able to effectively interact with clients and personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient math skills, able to perform calculations
  • Must be self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Has a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safe hand tool use
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors with possible exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
