Precast Project Engineer

AG&E Associates is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Precast Project Engineer to join our team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead precast-focused projects while supporting technical delivery, team coordination, and client relationships within a leading engineering firm.

What You Will Do
- Lead and coordinate teams of engineers, BIM modelers, and project coordinators across all project phases
- Serve as a technical liaison between design teams, precast manufacturers, EOR teams, and general contractors
- Develop and manage project schedules, task lists, and documentation processes while ensuring quality control
- Design precast components and connections, including handling and erection procedures
- Review calculations, erection plans, shop tickets, and sealed drawings as required
- Manage construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site or plant visits
- Oversee project financials, including budgets, profitability, invoicing, and change orders
- Contribute to proposals, training initiatives, and development of technical standards
- Participate in client meetings, coordination sessions, and industry engagement
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering with structural emphasis required
- Must hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by state of residence
- Minimum 4 years of experience in precast and prestressed buildings
- Experience with total precast systems including double tees, spandrels, walls, columns, and connections
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, Tekla, 3D modelling software, and structural engineering software such as Mathcad or Tedds
- Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and teams
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to quality and detail
