East Penn Canada is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial professional to expand our presence across national and regional consumer accounts, uncover new market opportunities, and accelerate profitable revenue growth.
As a National Account Executive supporting our consumer products division, you will play a key role in developing new business, strengthening existing partnerships, and positioning East Penn Canada as a market leader within the consumer segment. Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, you will take a proactive, growth-focused approach - leveraging insights, relationships, and market intelligence to capture new opportunities and maximize account potential. This role is ideal for a driven hunter/builder who thrives on creating momentum, winning new business, and delivering long-term value.
Please note that this position requires daily travel in-territory and up to 30% overnight travel, with a 100% on-site work model for all non-travel work activities (Working out of East Penn's Courtice, ON head office). Please do not apply if you are unable to attend the office full-time.
This role also requires use of employee's personal vehicle for business purposes (generous annual car allowance and gas card provided).
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the ongoing management of assigned consumer accounts, ensuring customer needs are met while driving continuous business development.
Prospect and generate new business opportunities while maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
Drive all sales and marketing activities for prospective customers and assigned accounts to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Maintain consistent, proactive communication with customers to ensure optimal service and resolve potential issues before they arise.
Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
Conduct competitor analysis to understand market dynamics and inform strategic decisions.
Build strong relationships across multiple levels of customer organizations to strengthen long-term partnerships.
Conduct regular sales visits to present products, warranties, and service capabilities.
Deliver product training, and represent East Penn Canada at industry trade shows when applicable
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on customer expectations and delivery of negotiated outcomes.
Monitor account performance against forecasts and prior-year results, identifying trends and opportunities.
Prepare sales contracts and quotes in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain dashboards and accurately document all sales activities to provide insights to Sales Management on key performance observations.
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
You will receive full product training, but a strong foundation and background in the following will set you up for success:
6+ years of progressive experience in national-level sales and account management.
Post‑secondary education in business, sales, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience in the battery, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sectors considered a strong asset.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to deliver compelling presentations to senior leaders (directors, VPs, and executives).
Strong project and time management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce experience a major asset), Microsoft Office Suite, and online inventory/sales management tools to manage accounts and analyze performance.
Proven relationship‑building skills with the ability to strengthen loyalty, engagement, and long‑term account satisfaction.
Adaptable and proactive, able to respond to changing market conditions and evolving client needs while identifying opportunities and solving challenges.
A collaborative team player and self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to achieve results independently.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer behaviours.
Important Considerations:
Background checks will be required of the incumbent, and may include, but are not limited to criminal record checks, employment verification, driver's abstracts, and professional references.
Approximately 30% overnight travel is required for this role, plus regular local travel, and rare international trips for training or trade shows.
All work activities that do not require travel will be spent in-office at East Penn's Courtice, ON head office location.
Account Executives are required to use personal vehicles for business purposes and will be provided with an annual car allowance and gas card as part of their offer of employment.

Hiring Range: Expected on target earnings $90-115K, which includes base salary plus commission. (Actual salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
