Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in producing a variety of fine-quality specialty wood products.
- Operate and maintain basic woodworking tools and machinery.
- Perform quality checks on finished products.
- Set up and adjust production equipment under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Notify the Front Shop Supervisor of supply or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist with general production tasks as needed
Credentials, Education, and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of woodworking and materials handling preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Basic mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Consistently meet established production goals with accuracy and efficiency.
Environment and Physical Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25-75 lbs frequently.
- Work also requires the ability to constantly climb, reach, pull, stoop, crawl, and bend.
- Exposure to fumes, odors, and loud noise—must wear safety gear, including eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, and a respirator when necessary.
- Work indoors in a manufacturing environment.
