Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for all safety, administrative, personnel, financial and internal functions of the location. Provides leadership to staff to optimize established levels of business performance objectives service, productivity and quality. Responsible for organizing, motivating and leading the branch operations team. The Branch Operations Manager will be accountable for key performance metrics.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides leadership and direction to all managers, makes decisions and recommendations, maintains profitability and productivity.
- Manage inventory, shipments (including outside carriers), customer service, fabrication, and warehouse layout, including proficiency in all corresponding software systems, as needed. This includes ability to operate all equipment in warehouses, fabrication shops (if applicable), ship and receive, manually lift inventory (with or without accommodation), and function in a customer service and stock listing capacity.
- Continuously develop and maintain customer relationships, address and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, as well as build relationships inside the company.
- Maintains compliance with applicable government regulations, DOT compliance, and SOPs. Ensure environmental health, housekeeping and safety responsibilities are followed.
- Maintains communication between the branch, District/Regional Operations Manager and Sales Team.
- Understanding of P&L, Budget and Capital Planning. Develop multi-year branch business plan.
- Conducts all supervisory responsibilities.
- Maintains a satisfactory rating on Safety and Quality Audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE\EDUCATION:
- 4-yr degree or equivalent leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills, ability to express well-reasoned independent thought
- 2-yr management or leadership experience
- Proficient in all aspects of MS Office
- Ability to consistently deliver projects on time and on budget
- Customer service experience
- Ability to develop and execute business plans
- Previous experience with P&Ls, Budget and Capital Planning
- Forklift experience
- Experience in handling multiple projects and job at one time (multi tasking)
ENVIRONMENT:
- Normal office environment with occasional interaction in warehouse and manufacturing environments.
- Lab/production environment with some disagreeable elements such as noise, dust, fumes, heat, and safety hazards, etc.
- Requires some lifting, installing cable and other light physical activities.
- Subject to frequent interruptions of normal routine.
- May require travel to US and international locations.
- May require effort and support outside of normal business hours.

- Direct supervision responsibility, including performance assessments, of 1-10 employees.
