We are looking for a motivated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and drive operational success.


Position Summary

The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the service department, managing a team of technicians and service advisors, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing shop productivity and profitability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service department
  • Lead, coach, and motivate technicians and service advisors
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and timely vehicle delivery
  • Build strong relationships with customers and handle escalations
  • Maintain workflow efficiency and optimize shop capacity
  • Monitor KPIs such as labor sales, efficiency, and gross profit
  • Oversee estimating, scheduling, and repair order accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with safety and company policies
  • Coordinate training and development for staff
  • Work closely with parts suppliers and maintain inventory control

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair processes
  • Experience with shop management systems (e.g., Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, Mitchell, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive results
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume service environment
  • Strong sales and performance management background
