Newport Aquarium Animal Handling & Programming Specialist - Part-Time Year Round

We seek a dedicated individual who is skilled at interpretation and enjoys spending time delivering a great guest experience to audiences of all ages. You will participate in animal handling training and maintain consistent socialization with our animal ambassador collection. Partnering with our animal ambassadors, you will deliver positive educational messaging through programs like our Penguin Encounters, Reptile Encounters, and Behind the Scenes tours. You will also deliver additional animal experiences and talks for special events outside of normal operating hours as assigned. Successful applicants for this role are flexible and willing to learn and deliver new programming, animal procedures, and information. This position falls in the Zoological Operations Department.
