The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Inpatient/Substance Abuse role is designed to deliver high-quality healthcare services to patients within an inpatient setting, with a focus on substance use disorders. This position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, to improve patient outcomes and support their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to identify substance use disorders and related health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring evidence-based practices are utilized.
- Prescribe medications and provide therapeutic interventions as appropriate, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and strategies for maintaining long-term recovery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans, share insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in substance use treatment and healthcare practices, integrating new knowledge into patient care.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other healthcare staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an inpatient setting.
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment or a related field.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
