
Asst Inventory Manager (2823)
Job Description
Sunset Distributing is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Inventory Manager to assist the Inventory Manager’s duties.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor compliance with product freshness policies, which include proper product labeling and rotation in the warehouse.
- Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies, working with various departments and management levels.
- Develop and implement procedures that target the reduction of the following finished product loss categories: breakage, out-of-control, overages, and shortages.
- Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries and product transfers.
- Notify management and sales personnel of out-of-stock, low-in-stock, or close-to-code situations.
- Manage claims for receiving/returning breakages, overages, and shortages.
- Proof and reconcile invoices, credits, cooperage, and pallet credits.
- Process in-transit invoices and credits monthly and follow up on outstanding cooperage/pallet returns
- High school diploma or GED certificate required, College degree preferred.
- 2 years of inventory and/or accounting experience.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and attentive to details.
- Able to work flexible hours as needed.
