Operations & Sales Project Specialist
Basic Description:
The Operations & Sales Project Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering strategic and operational initiatives across the mortgage operations and sales performance. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, enhancing the borrower’s experience, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The position plays a key role in supporting company growth by enhancing processes, tools and communication that impact loan production & operations and borrower experience.
This is a fully remote position. We are looking to fill this position in one of the following states that we have offices in: AR, FL, IA, KS, MI, MO, NE, OK, TN, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead projects from initiation through execution, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
- Partner with Operations and Sales leadership to identify process gaps, workflow inefficiencies and opportunities to improve productivity and conversion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation and status reporting.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to track progress, resolve issues, communicate updates and drive accountability.
- Analyze workflows to reduce cycle times, minimize errors and improve communication between teams.
- Coordinate implementation of regulatory or investor guideline changes across impacted teams.
- Serve as a liaison between operations and technology teams for system enhancements, rollouts, and troubleshooting.
- Manage post-project evaluations to identify successes and lessons learned.
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to operational efficiency, sales support and project outcomes.
- Support training and communication efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diplomas or Equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending.
- 2+ years of experience managing projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations, guidelines and secondary market.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder coordinator skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Windows.
- Experience with Encompass and CRM tools.
