About the team and the role:
The Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) team is passionate about building a free, smart, safe, and engaging selling experience for eBay sellers. The team plays a central role in strengthening eBay’s global marketplace by improving how individuals and small businesses list, sell, ship, and get paid.
As the Lead Strategy & Experience Manager, you will define and drive multi-quarter strategy across key pillars of the C2C selling journey. Operating at the intersection of business strategy and product execution, you will translate complex, ambiguous challenges into clear investment priorities that influence multiple product teams and domains.
Reporting to the Director, Global C2C Seller Experience, this role does not directly own a product roadmap. Instead, you will build portfolio direction, define measurable outcomes, and align Product, Analytics, and regional teams to deliver meaningful marketplace impact.
What you will accomplish:
Develop and lead a 6–12+ month portfolio strategy across multiple domains within the C2C seller journey.
Influence quarterly and annual product roadmaps by crafting clear, dedicated investment priorities.
Deliver measurable impact on core marketplace benchmarks such as supply health, listing quality, conversion velocity, trust, and seller outcomes.
Translate complex, cross-domain challenges into structured business problems, quantified opportunities, and success metrics.
Lead prioritisation across challenging initiatives, aligning senior Product and Market leaders on trade-offs and resource allocation.
Develop end-to-end experience strategies that span multiple teams, ensuring cross-functional alignment and execution.
Anticipate marketplace, competitive, and behavioral shifts, and convert insights into forward-looking requirements and capabilities.
What you will bring:
8+ years of experience in marketplace strategy, product-adjacent leadership, or program leadership.
Demonstrated success in crafting multi-quarter portfolio strategies within complex, cross-functional environments.
Ability to influence senior collaborators and drive alignment without direct authority.
Strong understanding of end-to-end customer journeys and marketplace economics.
Experience defining important metrics, sizing opportunities, and interpreting experimentation or performance data.
Clear and structured executive communication skills, with the ability to distill ambiguity into actionable direction.
Comfort operating autonomously in dynamic, evolving problem spaces.
