Job Description
Director of Information Technology
Location: Headquarters (Campbellsport, Wisconsin) | Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Consults to: CEO & CFO | Direct Reports: ERP Administrator, Data Team, Service Team
We are seeking a Director of Information Technology to serve as the chief architect of our digital future. With 850 team members across 10 Wisconsin locations, our organization is moving away from a traditional "troubleshooting" IT model toward a Business Intelligence and Platform-Centric engine.
You will be a key executive partner, translating technical possibilities into actionable business strategies. You will not just manage our technology; you will lead the Project Management Office, oversee our Enterprise Systems and ensure our technology stack is a competitive advantage in the building materials industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Executive Consultation
- Executive Partner: Act as a direct consultant to the CEO and CFO on technology ROI, resource allocation, and long-term capital budgeting.
- Expansion Roadmap: Align IT infrastructure and software strategy with our 10-location growth plan and manufacturing expansion goals.
Project Governance & The IT Project Management Office
- Resource Allocation: Manage the "Functional Cells" (ERP, Data, and Service teams) to ensure high-priority projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Project Prioritization - Give priority and action to projects that increase company stock shares quickly.
Vendor & Infrastructure Management
- Outsourced Partnership: Serve as the escalation point of accountability for our outsourced Network and Infrastructure partners. Ensure 99.9% uptime and a proactive cybersecurity posture across all 10 branches.
- Service Excellence: Oversee the internal Service Team to ensure that despite being HQ-based, our field locations receive world-class support.
Data-Driven Strategy
- Actionable Insights: Partner with the Data Team to turn complex database logic into dashboards that our team can use to monitor margins, inventory, and labor efficiency in real-time.
Why Join This Team?
This is not a "maintenance" role. You are joining at a pivotal moment as we unify 10 locations onto a single modern platform. You will have the autonomy to build a PMO from the ground up, the budget to leverage state-of-the-art tools, and a seat at the table where the most important business decisions are made.
The Drexel Advantage:
The Wealth-Builder (Ownership)
- ESOP Shares: We don’t just work here; we own the place. You’ll earn a real stake in the company’s success.
- Profit Sharing: When Drexel wins, our team wins.
- 401k: A solid foundation for your long-term retirement goals.
Health & Well-Being
- Comprehensive Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you and your family "weather-proof."
- Fitness Reimbursements: Annual funds dedicated to your physical health and family activities.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential support when life gets complex.
Life & Legacy
- Immediate Paid Time Off: Start with Holiday and Vacation pay from day one.
- Scholarship Program: We’re invested in the next generation—educational support for the children of our team members.
- Annual Charity Match: We’ll double your impact on the causes you care about most.
The "Drexel" Lifestyle
- Birthday PTO: A paid day off to celebrate you.
- Product Discounts: Special pricing on the high-quality materials we sell.
- Plus More: A constant stream of "fun little perks" that make the yard a great place to be.
The Profile Summary: We are looking for a leader who values Process over Patches. If you believe that clean data and automated workflows are the keys to out-competing the market, you are the right fit for this role.
