Job Description
We are hiring for a Construction Inspector to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the Princeton, NJ area. This is a full-time, field-based position that will support ongoing and upcoming construction projects by providing quality assurance and documentation throughout all phases of construction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Engineer’s on-site representative and liaison to the contractor.
- Observe all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Verify field measurements and quantities, document daily quantities, materials, and resource usage.
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily inspection reports, including notes on progress, issues, non-conformance, and weather conditions.
- Record and report field data daily.
- Identify and communicate construction issues to the project engineer and/or manager.
- Use ACC Build or similar platforms for digital field documentation.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.
- Ability to work in a full-time, field-based role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate or degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD, iOS-based construction apps, or ACC Build is advantageous.
- 0–3 years of relevant construction observation or inspection experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
TARGET SALARY RANGE: $55K - $70k (per year)
