Under the supervision of the Sports Medicine Manager outreach activities consisting of event and practice coverage, preventative practice, athletic training room coverage, educational involvement and other duties related to coverage for college, high school, recreational or club sports.

Under the supervision of the Sports Medicine Manager outreach activities consisting of event and practice coverage, preventative practice, athletic training room coverage, educational involvement and other duties related to coverage for college, high school, recreational or club sports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Athletic Training Services to local high school student athletes.
- Provide athletic training services for all home athletic contests, away varsity football games and school sanctioned practices as designated by the athletic director.
- Utilize Athletic Training Services at the discretion of the high school's Athletic Director under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician, and in accordance with state athletic training practice act.
- Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes, and their parents.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments and provide insurance claim forms for sports injuries treated by a physician.
- Provide the coaches and Athletic Director with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations.
- Assist the Sports Medicine Manager as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an approved education program in athletic training and/or related health science field, State of Ohio Athletic Trainer license and NATA certification required.
- Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine facility preferred.
- Previous experience working with athletic populations required.
- Previous high school outreach experience preferred.
- Proficient in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with appropriate individuals and organizations.
