Driver - Oakland

Title: Driver – Oakland Manor Food Service

Reports to: Administrator

Position Summary:
 Transportation of food, dishes and other items between facilities

Responsibilities and Duties:

• For each meal:
  1. Assembles dishes and serving utensils needed for meal at prep facility and prepares for transport.
  2. Packages food, obtains temp and places food in insulated transport packs.
  3. Completes pre-departure quality check and inventory to assure all items needed for the menu and service are assembled for transport.
  4. Places food and service items in transport vehicle and secures all items.
  5. Transports food and service items to service facility using the fastest possible route according to navigation, following traffic laws and posted speeds.
  6. Removes food transport carrier, service items from vehicle and transports to service facility.
  7. Relocates vehicle to approved parking area.
  8. Obtains pre-service food temperature, and assists with meal service.
  9. Collects soiled dishes and services items and transports back to prep facility.
  10. Washes dishes and assists with meal prep.
• Communicates upon disruption of service. Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Report all vehicle repairs, and / or any unsafe or hazardous situations immediately to your supervisor. Be flexible and available for special occasions, and special schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:
 High School Diploma or equivalent

Current State of Michigan Driver’s License

Must be able to lift and carry 25#
