Senior Manager Cost Management

As Senior Manager Cost Management, you will own the financial support of back office teams (CEO, CFO, HR, Plane), the consolidation of enterprise team cost, and supporting the Fit to Serve Team on managing the costs of the enterprise “fit-to-serve” agenda, ensuring that the organization’s cost base, operating model, and service levels are aligned with retail growth, profitability, and long-term strategic priorities. You will lead structural cost-reduction initiatives, provide enterprise-level cost insights, and support leadership decision-making.​

Reporting to the Director Enterprise Function Finance, you will drive cost-savings programs and act as the enterprise lead for cost governance, partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize operating models and resource allocation.​

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support HR, Finance and ELT on overall consolidated reporting, budgeting and forecasting of overhead costs and headcount

  • Cost Governance Leadership: Serve as the enterprise lead for cost governance, leveraging FP&A insights to influence operating model decisions, cost structures, and resource allocation.​

  • Lead analysis of key overhead costs including Wages, Benefits, travel and professional fees for the support functions, providing recommendations for cost savings opportunities.

  • Structural Cost-Reduction Analysis: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize structural cost-reduction opportunities across SG&A, support models, and functional service levels, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.​

  • Business Case Development & Benefit Tracking: Quantify savings, build robust business cases for cost-reduction initiatives, and track benefit realization including financial and operational impacts to ensure accountability.​

  • Integration into Planning & Forecasting: Embed cost-savings and fit-to-serve assumptions into enterprise planning processes, forecasts, and scenario analyses to ensure realistic and achievable financial plans.​

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Enterprise Planning, HR, Operations, and corporate functions to drive sustainable and strategic cost outcomes.​

  • Executive Communication & Storytelling: Develop clear, compelling executive-level communication and storytelling on cost management initiatives, progress, and results to support leadership engagement and decision-making.​

  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Manage multiple cost management projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, impact realization, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize service levels, and reduce structural costs.

Strategic Alignment​

Support enterprise financial and operational strategies by driving disciplined cost management and enabling sustainable growth through optimized service levels and efficient resource use.​

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education​

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. An MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is an asset.​

 ​

Experience​

  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A, cost management, corporate finance, operational excellence, or consulting with exposure to cost-reduction programs.​

  • Proven track record in leading cost-savings initiatives and building business cases to support executive decisions.​

  • Strong understanding of SG&A structures, operating models, productivity levers, and financial controls.​

 ​

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to identify cost drivers and prioritize value opportunities.​

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance efficiency, service levels, and long-term growth needs.​

  • Excellent communication and executive storytelling skills.​

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, planning tools, and reporting environments.​

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.​

  • Ability to work collaboratively across Operations, HR, Enterprise Planning, and functional teams.​
