Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Operates and maintains building facilities systems and equipment, related to HVAC.
  • Reads and interprets blue prints, drawings, schematics and written technical documents associated with HVAC systems in order to locate trouble areas and complete repairs accurately.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, installation, repair, overhaul, disassembly, reassembly, and modifications to heating, ventilating, control, pneumatic electrical and electronic systems, and related equipment to insure proper safe and efficient operation.
  • Experience preparing material takeoffs from blue prints.
  • Maintains required record-keeping.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required. 

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • Six years HVAC maintenance experience.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. 
  • All positions within this classification must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
