Candidates must already be located in those states
Reports To: Manager of Inventory Planning
Job Type: Full time- In office/Hybrid after training
Compensation: $68,000-$75,000 based off experience
Job Summary
The Inventory Management and Planning Analyst I supports inventory control processes and daily operations across the organization. This role assists with basic data tracking, reporting, and inventory system maintenance while working closely with warehouse and operations teams. The Analyst I helps ensure accurate inventory records, supports process consistency, and contributes to efficient inventory operations under guidance.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with inventory control activities, including item setup and basic system updates
- Support data entry and maintenance of inventory records to ensure accuracy
- Help monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to leadership
- Run standard inventory reports and assist in tracking key metrics
- Support warehouse and operations teams with inventory-related questions and issues
- Utilize SQL and data analytics tools to extract and analyze inventory data
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes
- Help document and follow standard operating procedures for inventory processes
- Provide basic support for system updates or changes
- Collaborate with team members to maintain organized and accurate inventory data
- Participate in process improvement efforts by identifying simple inefficiencies
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in inventory, supply chain, warehouse, or administrative support roles
- Basic understanding of inventory or warehouse processes preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to inventory or warehouse management systems
- Experience in a production, agriculture, or distribution environment
- Familiarity with basic reporting tools or data entry systems
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based with occasional time spent in warehouse environments. The role involves regular computer use and may require standing, walking, or light lifting during inventory activities. Work may occasionally include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
