
Security Officer/Driver
Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provides resident transportation point-to-point on campus and to and from activities and appointments when needed.
Also included in this position is the expectation that the person in this job will:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Safely transport residents to:
- point-to-point on campus daily
- medical appointments, as requested
- activities/events, as requested
- Serve as back-up for the switchboard (including lunches)
- Serve as back-up for the security officers
- Serve as back-up for off-campus driver
- Deliver/Pick-up vehicles for service, as requested
- Pick-up of off-campus shopping orders, as requested
- Serve as events shuttle driver, as requested
- Maintain complete and appropriate documentation
- All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Unencumbered, current NC Drivers License
Experience:
- 1 year driving passenger buses and/or vans.
- 1-2 years working with the public.
- Experience in security field or police work preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for lengthy periods of time
- Capable of providing assistance to persons using walkers and wheelchairs
- Able to lift and load equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) into vehicles
- Able to climb, bend, stoop
- Lift up to 30 pounds.
