Job Description

Provide support to individuals with disabilities in a Vocational Program, Day Habilitation Program, Residential or community-based settings

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provide on-the-job training, life skills training and supervision to individuals.
  • Responsible for writing reports, including daily logs, utilizing professional, appropriate documentation skills.
  • Serve as liaison between RTR and the community representing a positive and proactive attitude at all times.
  • Work in cooperation with the Case Manager to implement ISP objectives.
  • Communicate all related issues to the designated Case Manager.
  • Maintain area in a clean, orderly condition as outlined by Program Manager.
  • Provide support in a variety of community activities.
  • Serve as an appropriate role model
  • Implement all behavior plan interventions as assigned.
  • Adhere to all established lines of communication, dress in a professional manner and represent a positive and proactive attitude with coworkers, families and referral agencies.
  • Adhere to the schedules and routines of the individuals and the program
  • Adhere to the schedules and needs of the Urban Youth Collaborative Program.
  • Attend weekly supervision and professional development training (hybrid)
  • Attend 5-week Human Service college course at Massasoit Community College (virtual)
  • Adhere to agency safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
  • Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
  • Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.
  • Must attend June 23rd through August 15th.
  • 17 years and up 
  • Completed their Junior year in high school
  • Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Nation Background Check including fingerprinting and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
