Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Handyman to join our team. The Maintenance Handyman is responsible for the daily upkeep, light maintenance, and basic repairs of the building’s facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents. This is a part time position working Saturdays and Sunday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner
Daily tasks such as pressure washing, cleaning windows, ensuring pool furniture and umbrellas are clean and available for residents' use
Exterior upkeep--ensure walkways, elevators, pool area are free and clear of debris
Maintain common areas (lobby, hallways, amenities, parking garage, etc.) in clean and operational condition
Respond to building emergencies
Assist with vendor coordination for specialized repairs or services
Ensure tools, inventory, and maintenance supplies are well-stocked and properly stored
Follow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred
1-2 years of maintenance or building operations experience (residential or commercial)
Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems preferred but not required
Ability to perform minor carpentry/painting tasks
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
