Transfer station spotter in Tampa

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Transfer Station Spotter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials and guiding customers safely in the landfill.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles prepping for the Equipment Operator.

· Direct Customers where to safely dump their debris at the landfill.

· Pull metal and lead items from piles being disposed.

· Monitor piles to ensure they are the appropriate size.

· Remove items that can be recycled and are not acceptable for disposal at the landfill.

· Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.

· Report any worker-public safety factors.

· Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.

· Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro.

· Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
