Job Description

The Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments. This role ensures that the inventory is accurately documented and stored in the appropriate locations, maintaining accurate records of received goods and inventory levels. The Receiver works closely with the warehouse and inventory management teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm-must be available for overtime as needed.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Examines receiving documents and compares to purchase order, packing slip or key records, according to the job specifications. 
  2. Audits receiving documentation, Purchase Orders (PO) or Advance Shipping Notices (ASN) to ensure accuracy of receipt. 
  3. Inspects the condition of the received goods to identify any damage or discrepancies.
  4. Works with internal departments to resolve any problems with receipts. 
  5. Ability to accurately document in words and/or pictures any discrepancies.
  6. Assist in the performance of inventory management duties such as physical inventory, cycle counting and reconciliation.
  7. May unload goods from delivery trucks or containers as needed.
  8. Uses forklift equipment to locate product(s). 
  9. Assists with scheduling delivery appointments for incoming shipments as needed.
  1. Ability to handle multiple tasks while under pressure and work in a team environment. 
  2. Must have strong math skills.
  3. Effective communication skills in writing and verbal
  4. Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision. 
  5. Must be detail oriented and accurate.
  6. Previous receiving experience preferred. 
  7. Must be able to lift and carry/move up to 50 lbs. 
  8. Previous experience using WMS (Warehouse Management System) preferred but not required.
  9. Applicant must be willing to become certified using a sit-down forklift and the dock stacker. The desire to become certified on cherry picker and reach forklift is desired but not required.
  10. Must be punctual and dependable.
  11. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
