About the role:

The primary role of the Sales Pricing Analyst is to leverage company and industry data to create a market pricing strategy to achieve optimal balance between market share growth and profitability goals. The sales pricing analyst works closely with machine sales, product marketing, finance and the business analytics teams to maximize our usage of company data for sales analysis. This includes the creation of all reporting, data modeling, and cross functional process improvements to increase efficiency. Lastly, the Sales Pricing Analyst will assist in the continuous development of machine learning (artificial intelligence) tools that will merge customer data, product attributes order history, and quote pipeline data to provide automated customer comparisons.

What you will do:

  • Analyze pricing data for competitive deals during the quote-to-order process for our North American dealer network.
  • Monitor long-term trends and pricing shifts across product groups, geographic regions, and specific dealer partners.
  • Assists in Business Planning by preparing monthly forecasts and assessing the impact on our business plan goals. This includes consolidation of already invoiced units, units in our backlog, and forecasted units on a rolling basis.
  • Maintains data integrity in our quoting tool by working with dealers and businesses on analytics in best practices for accurate data gathering, data conversion, and reporting needs.
  • Development of sales support agreements with dealer partners and our major accounts groups.
  • Develops data models for pricing everyday deals by compiling historical data and business insight from the sales and operations teams.
  • Prepares reports for key decision makers:
  • Pricing recommendations
  • Close ratio trends
  • Market participation
  • Lost order analysis and validation

When & Where:

Hybrid role in the office, Tuesday-Thursday, work from home Monday and Friday.

What you need to have:

  • 4-year degree required in Finance, Mathematics, Business, or a related business field
  • Fresh grad up to 7 years of experience 
  • High levels of self-directed initiative & problem solving
  • Strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

What would be nice to have:

  • Material handling industry experience
  • Experience with CRM systems (Data mining, implementation, reporting) or statistical models
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data modeling and visualization platforms
  • Project management experience
