POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Communications Specialist serves as the primary liaison between Rolfson Oil’s Critical Infrastructure Department and the company’s external marketing agency partner. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing marketing initiatives across brand, digital, and content channels to ensure alignment with business objectives, brand standards, and strategic growth initiatives.

The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in supporting integrated marketing campaigns, maintaining consistent messaging, and driving communication efforts that strengthen Rolfson Oil’s market presence within the energy and critical infrastructure sectors. This position requires strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills to coordinate cross-functional input, manage agency relationships, and support the execution of high-impact marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact between Rolfson Oil and external marketing agency partners
  • Coordinate marketing projects, campaign timelines, budgets, and deliverables with agency account teams
  • Brief agencies on campaign objectives, messaging priorities, brand standards, and project expectations
  • Review, edit, and approve agency deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with company objectives
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and maintain clear communication between internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Proactively identify project risks, communication gaps, or timeline concerns and recommend solutions
  • Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, brand, and content channels
  • Assist in developing and refining go-to-market strategies for new services, initiatives, and operational capabilities
  • Coordinate internal approvals and gather cross-functional feedback from operations, sales, and leadership teams
  • Maintain and manage the departmental marketing calendar to ensure projects are properly prioritized and resourced
  • Develop, edit, and maintain customer-facing and partner-facing marketing materials including website content, email campaigns, brochures, presentations, case studies, and video briefs
  • Ensure all marketing content reflects Rolfson Oil’s brand voice, technical accuracy, and value propositions
  • Support internal communications efforts to keep stakeholders informed of marketing initiatives, project updates, and campaign performance
  • Conduct market, audience, and competitor research to support campaign strategy and positioning
  • Monitor marketing campaign performance metrics and prepare reports with actionable recommendations
  • Identify industry trends and emerging opportunities within the energy and critical infrastructure sectors
  • Maintain marketing materials and digital assets across platforms to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with vendors, agency partners, and internal departments to support ongoing marketing initiatives
  • Assist with special marketing projects, events, presentations, and department initiatives as assigned
  • Protect the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality of company information and strategic initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of B2B, industrial, energy, or critical infrastructure marketing environments preferred
  • Experience with marketing platforms such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, CMS platforms, or similar tools preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, agency management, or related roles; experience in B2B, energy industrial, or critical infrastructure industries preferred.

Computer Skills: Intermediate to Advanced

Certificates & Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Completion of company and customer required safety training

Other Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of oilfield equipment and operations preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 as business needs demand
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15%
