Job Description

Plan, develop, prepare, submit, and manage all College grant proposals; facilitates and supports the identification of federal, state, local, community, corporate, and private foundation funding opportunities; serves as liaison between grant agencies and the College regarding grant opportunities, submissions, compliance, and reporting requirements; maintains current knowledge of grant funding policies, regulations, procedures, trends, and legislation affecting higher education funding opportunities; analyze and interpret financial data and prepares financial reports, statements, and projections; monitors and coordinates post-award grant administration to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements, institutional policies, and budgeting procedures; oversees and maintains specialized databases and systems used for recording, tracking grant proposals, grant awards, compliance documentation, and reporting requirements; oversees the review, logging, routing, and processing of College contracts under the purview and management of the Vice President of Operations and Facilities Management; coordinates contract review with the College solicitor, insurance carrier, and appropriate departments to ensure compliance with College policies and procedures; oversees the implementation and ongoing administration of the College’s electronic contract management system; establishes priorities, organizes resources, and ensures timely completion of assigned responsibilities and departmental objectives for the Event Services Specialist; supervise staff, assign and prioritize work, establish schedules and approval/ denials of leave, make recommendations for hiring, discipline, termination, and problem resolution, and conduct performance evaluations.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters Degree preferred.

Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in business management, contract management, grants management including grant writing and research.

Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, community, corporate, and private funding sources and grant opportunities; database management skills and experience maintaining electronic tracking systems including contract management systems; ability to develop, write, and produce grants and other proposals; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of College employees and external stakeholders; skilled in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and managing multiple projects simultaneously; ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections; knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures.
