Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management Director to lead all maintenance, safety, and facility operations. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, emergency preparedness, departmental budgeting, team member supervision, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained community environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance and safety staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee preventive maintenance for buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles.
- Manage work orders, inventory systems, purchasing, inspections, and contractor/vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Life Safety Code, NFPA, and organizational safety standards.
- Oversee landscaping, snow removal, parking areas, and exterior lighting.
- Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and 24/7 on-call maintenance coverage.
- Prepare operational and financial reports and participate in organizational committees.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in facilities or building maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience with budgeting, maintenance software, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with emergency evacuation procedures if needed.
