About the Role
As a Distribution Centre Shift Manager, you will play a key leadership role ensuring our warehouse operations run safely, efficiently, and in line with our service excellence standards. You’ll lead a team responsible for delivering accurate, timely outputs while fostering a positive, vibrant culture.
This is a hands‑on leadership role — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced FMCG environment, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Daily warehouse leadership — oversee and coordinate day‑to‑day operations alongside the Team Manager.
- Team management — lead, coach and develop team members, set clear goals, manage performance, and support recruitment.
- Operational excellence — ensure accuracy in receiving, picking, dispatching and inventory management.
- Continuous improvement — identify opportunities to improve systems, workflow, productivity and cost‑effectiveness.
- Health & Safety leadership — uphold WHS standards, ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and drive a safety‑first culture.
- KPI reporting — prepare daily/weekly/monthly reporting and measure team performance.
- Financial oversight — manage credits, claims, pallet counts and productivity KPIs.
- Shift accountability — ensure effective handovers, labour planning and service delivery.
