Key Responsibilities
The apprentice will be working with the Site Maintenance Team to conduct activities which support the repair, replacement, installation & Maintenance on new & existing equipment in a highly regulated GMP environment to support Production activities at the Eli Lilly Kinsale site. These activities may involve the following but are not limited to:
Training on Eli Lilly Quality, Environmental & Health & Safety requirements
Working as part of Maintenance team to help perform a variety of tasks independently and as part of the team
Use mathematics to solve technical or scientific problems
Maintain industrial control systems & Motor control Centers (MCC’s)
Repair and calibration of control process system
Interpret electrical and electronic schematic diagrams
Work with a variety of specialized hand tools, power tools and equipment
Understanding technical drawings and diagrams
Install various types of wiring and cabling systems
Work on machines and processes
Analyse system faults
Install, service, maintain, and rectify faults in equipment
Monitor equipment conditions using modern maintenance techniques
Write reports of completed repairs
Key Attributes:
Applicants must have achieved at least Grade O5 in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and preferably one Technical subject.
Notes:
These are entry level, on-the-job & classroom training-based programmes and are therefore ideally aimed towards recent school-leavers.
The interview process will take place throughout the month of July 2026.
Therefore, candidates will need to be available in July 2026 to be considered.
