Oversees production control activities ensuring material flow through production in support of the production plans to satisfy business goals and customer demands.
Manages procurement activities and is responsible for the optimum procurement of all purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment and service.
Helps facilitate and oversee company-wide understanding of the Manufacturing Resource Planning process. Acts as the internal consultant on MRP providing direction and guidance throughout the company to improve the utilization and effectiveness of the MRP system.
Oversees shipping and receiving function including identifying, purchasing, and managing packaging supplies.
Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
Directly supervises employees in responsible areas.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
