Job Description

UpCloud is on a mission to be the number #1 European cloud platform, built on performance, reliability, and trust. While data sovereignty has become a hot topic in the EU, we can proudly say that we’ve been mastering it since 2011. With a strong, continually expanding portfolio of solutions and a rapidly growing international customer base, we are poised for explosive growth.

To accelerate this growth, we’re looking for a SEO & Content Operations Specialist to join our global, diverse Marketing team in our Helsinki office. This role is suited for someone who enjoys hands-on SEO work and wants to play a key role in improving organic growth for a global cloud infrastructure platform. The role is execution-focused: publishing, optimizing, improving site hygiene, and ensuring our content performs in search.

You will work closely with the content and marketing team to implement our SEO strategy and strengthen our organic search presence. The role requires someone comfortable operating across SEO execution, content publishing, and ongoing website optimization - a truly focused SEO-focused marketer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Publish blog posts, tutorials, and landing pages in WordPress

  • Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, internal linking, schema, headings, URL structure)

  • Optimize existing content to improve rankings, discoverability, and organic performance

  • Maintain website SEO hygiene (crawlability, indexing, redirects, internal linking, broken links)

  • Support technical SEO initiatives in collaboration with developers

  • Distribute content across relevant channels (social platforms, newsletters, communities)

  • Monitor organic traffic and SEO performance using analytics and search tools

  • Identify optimization opportunities across existing content and site structure

  • Support ongoing improvements in search visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI/LLM answer engines

You’ll need to have:

  • 2–3 years of proven SEO experience, ideally supporting B2B or technical websites

  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO fundamentals

  • Solid understanding of website structure, crawlability, internal linking, and link equity

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret SEO data and translate insights into actionable improvements

  • Attention to detail and ability to execute consistently within a defined SEO strategy

  • Working knowledge of WordPress and content publishing workflows

  • Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Semrush (or similar)

  • Comfortable working in a technical environment with developer-focused content

We also appreciate (read: not a must but certainly a plus):

  • Experience with technical or developer-focused content (cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, databases, etc.)

  • Familiarity with structured data and schema implementation

  • Basic HTML knowledge

  • Understanding of how content surfaces in AI-driven discovery and answer engines
