Job Description

Delegate job assignments and determine priorities based on available labor and workload.

Assure that shipping personnel execute job duties and demonstrate personal conduct in a manner that is compliant with all applicable guidelines, policies and procedures.

Take appropriate actions when necessary to assure the efficient and compliant operation to our internal and external customers.

Communicates with department management, traffic and/or shipping associates and takes the appropriate action in matters pertaining to accuracy, safety, and housekeeping

Observe and communicate unsafe conditions to traffic and /or supervision and take corrective actions.

Provide assistance with problem solving for shipping personnel and other designees for scanning and case location questions.

Demonstrate ability to adjust to changing demands and priorities on a constant basis.

Assist with planning for and execution of quarterly physical inventories.

Ensure personnel meet or exceed the minimum number of trailers/cases loaded daily, performing root cause analysis when mistakes are discovered, and performing 6S audits.

Ensure company safety, quality and performance procedures are met in a safe, clean and organized setting and offer recommendations to improve these standards.

Operate lift truck or hand truck to move products when necessary.

Occasional, and at times heavy, overtime and extended hours are required including weekends

Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

One to three years related experience and/or training
-
Ability to operate a forklift.
-
Minimum 4 years warehouse experience.
