Apply today and help us build a more inclusive, sustainable future in the world of satellite technology Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Compliance team and play a critical role in designing, implementing, and monitoring Eutelsat’s Group-wide data governance framework for regulated and sensitive data, including export-controlled and sovereignty-constrained data. This is a unique opportunity to lead a strategic, cross-functional transformation program at Group level. The Senior Project Manager – Data Governance & Compliance will lead the end-to-end delivery of a Group-wide program aimed at establishing a robust, auditable, and regulatory-compliant data governance framework, covering sensitive, export-controlled, personal, and classified data. The role operates across Compliance, Security, IT, Legal, HR, and Business functions, ensuring alignment with LOA-defined scope, regulatory obligations (e.g. GDPR, export control), and Group priorities. The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and is accountable for program delivery, cross-functional coordination, and performance management. This role requires strong leadership, autonomy, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility, cross-functional environment. Who You Are: Senior Project Manager, Transformation Lead, or Consultant with at least 10+ years of experience in supporting and managing data governance, data management, or compliance transformation programs (ideally telecom compliance, US regulatory frameworks, or export control environments). What You’ll Do: As part of the Compliance Team, you will support the Group in its compliance with Data Security obligations (including US, UK, French, and other applicable regulatory frameworks). You will be actively involved in the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of Data Security compliance processes including access control, eligibility, and data handling rules for regulated and sensitive data within a dedicated international and multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Group data governance and compliance program Define and manage the project roadmap, milestones, and deliverables Ensure alignment with all legal and regulatory requirements (LOA, GDPR, export control, etc.) Ensure implementation of key compliance controls, including data classification, access eligibility (citizenship, clearance, need-to-know), approved systems and application controls, data hosting and sovereignty constraints, and validation workflows for data use and access Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Compliance, Security, IT, Legal, HR, Business) Structure and run program governance and Steering Committee Oversee and align all workstreams (data classification, privacy, access control and eligibility, security, IT/hosting, and third-party compliance) Monitor progress through KPIs, dashboard, and risk tracking Identify risks and drive mitigation and remediation actions Ensure audit readiness and documentation (traceability, evidence, controls) Drive implementation and adoption across entities and geographies Ensure implementation and maintenance of key data governance processes, including data flow mapping, documented use cases for data use and sharing, impact assessments, formal registers (processing, sharing), and change control mechanisms for data and storage locations Key Deliverables Sensitive and controlled data definition and regulatory mapping Data inventory, classification, and eligibility framework (including access and usage rules) Group governance, policies, and procedures Implementation roadmap and execution plan Dashboard and KPI framework Audit-ready documentation and evidence model Change management and control framework for data use and storage (including ticketing and approval workflows) Required Experience Excellent level of English. 10+ years of experience in complex, cross-functional program management Proven track record in data governance, compliance, cybersecurity, or regulatory programs Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g. telecom, defense, aerospace) Strong exposure to international regulations (GDPR, export control, data sovereignty) Ability to quickly operate within complex regulatory and organizational environments Ability to act and interact in a multidisciplinary environment involving compliance, information technology, human resources, security and procurement.
