Simulation Engineer - Virtual Validation

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) with 3+ year’s experience in software and/or hardware development and testing, with a strong focus on simulation
• Practical experience in developing, configuring or operating virtual test environments, simulation frameworks or similar platforms
• Experience across the software development lifecycle, including implementation, integration, configuration management and tooling to support testing and traceability
• Experience developing or supporting software that interacts with physical devices (e.g. embedded systems, control systems, industrial equipment)
• Understanding of electronics hardware integration and testing methods, including hardware interfaces, instrumentation and bench setups (highly advantageous)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems and test automation frameworks, particularly where they integrate with simulations or MIL/SIL/HIL environments (advantageous)
• Proficiency with version control systems such as GitHub, focusing on configuration of models, test harnesses and environment artefacts
• Hands‑on experience with Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop platforms (e.g. dSPACE, National Instruments, Vector, Speedgoat) and their configuration and integration (highly advantageous)
• Experience with Model‑Based Design (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink), including model integration into SIL/MIL/HIL environments
• Previous Experience with defining, developing, or supporting MIL/SIL/HIL architectures and simulation frameworks for autonomous systems or autonomous mining platforms is highly advantageous.
