Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership in water resource engineering assessments to support business objectives across local and international projects
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a small technical team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure effective delivery outcomes
- Develop water management strategies, plans, systems, and water balance models across all project lifecycle stages
- Deliver hydrology and water resource studies, including baseline and post-development assessments, flood risk analysis, and stormwater management design
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification activities to support safe and sustainable project delivery
- Provide technical advice influencing the design, construction, and maintenance of engineered water infrastructure and associated systems
- Collect, analyse, and interpret hydrological, rainfall, and environmental data to support studies, investigations, and decision-making
- Support the design of surface water infrastructure including drainage systems, culverts, watercourse crossings, and related built structures using specialised engineering software and calculations
- Assist in preparation of construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, cost estimates, and material quantity calculations, as well as high-quality technical reports and presentations
- Liaise and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders including project engineers, approvals teams, consultants, contractors, and operational teams to support water approvals and project outcomes.
