Actively accepts accountability for tracking and communicating appropriate information related to customer cargo and resolves problems.
Work in conjunction with operations & billing departments to ensure that all orders are complete and accurate in multiple systems.
Electronically register orders using in-house registration system, van line application, and Mover’s Suite application.
Process all necessary paperwork for each order; (i.e., worksheets, quotes, bills of lading, inventories).
Track the progress of every customer order.
Determine the necessary services and equipment needs for the specific job and communicate all pertinent details effectively to all key departments, drivers and other personnel.
Manage specific accounts, using independent judgment, to interface and coordinate with customer on all orders, registrations and any changes.
Provides consistent and professional communication to internal and external customers.
Utilize various sources of communication for scheduling including internet, e-mail and company phone system.
Provides coverage for co-workers when necessary or instructed by management.
Call other agents for local job assistance throughout the US.
Escalates issues to manager when appropriate.
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
