Shift Information 655PM - 710AM, 4 on - 4 off schedule. $1.50 Shift differential for Night Shift.
Training Training will be on day shift for the first 2 - 3 weeks.
What you'll do
As an Electro - Mechanical Technician, you’ll troubleshoot, install, and maintain industrial electrical systems - running conduit and wiring for motors, lighting, and control devices and repair equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently. Document work orders in SAP, manage spare parts/tools, and follow all safety, environmental, and food-safety (HACCP/GMP) procedures.
Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to)
- Maintain critical spare parts and tool inventories to support timely maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and install plant equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, gearboxes) to keep operations running.
- Install conduit and wiring as needed for motors, lighting, and control devices such as valves, limit switches, etc.
- Perform fabrication/repair support tasks as needed (welding, cutting, basic plumbing).
- Coordinate with OEM service reps and qualified contractors for specialized repairs/installs when required.
- Maintain SAP/work orders, PM schedules, equipment history, and required documentation (manuals, schematics, logs).
- Recommend equipment upgrades/replacements and capture completed maintenance in daily records.
What you'll need to be successful
Education/Certifications
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Technical trade school diploma/certification (preferred); welding certification (preferred).
Experience/Skills
- 3–5 years maintenance/trade experience (manufacturing/industrial preferred); equivalent education/experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years in an industrial environment with PLC, VFD, and E&I exposure.
- Willing and able to learn new technology and upgrade skills.
Physical Requirements
- Able to kneel, bend, squat, stoop, reach, stand, grip, push/pull, carry, and perform elevated work.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work overtime as needed and maintain a flexible schedule.
- PFT and respirator fit test (required).
- Work at heights, climb ladders, operate aerial lifts, and work in confined spaces.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $34 - $36 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
