Responsibilities for Building Parkade Security Guard
- Welcome and assist tenants, visitors, and contractors entering the parkade while providing professional customer service in person and over the phone.
- Monitor and control vehicle and pedestrian access points using access control systems, key cards, intercoms, and physical verification to ensure only authorized individuals enter the property.
- Conduct regular patrols of parkade levels, stairwells, elevators, loading zones, and surrounding exterior areas to maintain visibility, identify hazards, and deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and parkade equipment for suspicious activity, safety concerns, or operational issues, escalating concerns as required.
- Enforce parking regulations, property rules, and safety procedures while addressing unauthorized parking, loitering, trespassing, and by-law concerns professionally.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, tenant concerns, and alarms while coordinating effectively with emergency services, property management, and internal teams.
- Secure parkade entrances, exits, gates, and access doors by ensuring proper locking procedures and maintaining the integrity of the facility at all times.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, damaged gates, unsafe conditions, ice hazards, or malfunctioning security equipment to appropriate personnel.
- Protect client property and assets by maintaining a strong security presence and proactively preventing theft, vandalism, break-ins, and other security risks.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, maintenance logs, and shift communications while fostering positive working relationships with tenants, staff, and contractors.
